One Deaf Woman Show TRIX BRUCE ENTERTAINMENT \/ WORKSHOP PROPOSAL in

Patricia (Trix) Bruce, from Seattle, Washington, is known nationwide
\nas a workshop presenter and an ASL performer. Trix’s work has been
\nwarmly received everywhere, from local community centers, to state,
\nregional and national RID conferences, Deaf Way II, interpreter
\nconventions and more. Wildly popular as a teacher of ASL storytelling
\nand ASL interpretation, Trix impresses audiences at all levels of ASL
\nskill, from novices to fluent experts.Trix has been profoundly deaf
\nsince she was 6 months old. She went through oral, mainstreaming, and
\ndeaf classes, and has participated in online educational programs.
\nTrix has been active in the performing arts since 1980. After
\ncompleting her college program, she became involved with interpreter
\ntraining.Trix’s main area of study has been ASL Linguistics with a
\nfocus on ASL Performance. She is an approved sponsor for the Registry
\nof Interpreters for the Deaf (RID) Certificate Maintenance Program,
\nand has developed a popular website, www.trixbruce.com. Whether
\nwriting, creating, improvising or starring in her many productions,
\nTrix’s passion for the dramatic arts shines through. <\/p>\n

Trix\u2019s shows include multi-media animation, slides, video, and
\nsound effects, combined with ASL, stories, poetry, comedy, and more.
\nTrix provides all this using her own laptop and LCD projector. She
\nwill use your sound system. She brings along the equipment needed to
\nput on a high-tech, professional show that captivates both Deaf and
\nHearing audiences. <\/p>\n

Trix is happy to offer various booking options for your event(s).
\nPlease establish your schedule, including all performances and\/or
\nworkshops you want Trix to provide. The discounted booking rate will
\nbe determined after seeing the schedule. <\/p>\n

Trix would love to present several shows or workshops over a long
\nweekend. You can plan together with other local organizations to share
\nexpenses to bring Trix to your area for several venues. Or you can
\nhave the organizations provide payment with separate invoices. Trix
\nusually offers a discount booking rate for each venue that is a part
\nof a block of shows. The dates of the shows will be confirmed after
\nall cooperating venues with contracts in the block discount program
\nhave been coordinated and finalized.. <\/p>\n
