FORT WORTH RESCHEDULES CITY COUNCIL MEETING! RESOLUTION PERTAINING TO
\nDEAF AND HARD OF HEARING COMMUNITY IS ON AGENDA! AND BLOGSITE RETURNS!<\/p>\n
The Fort Worth City Council Meeting cancelled last week due to unsafe
\nweather conditions has been rescheduled. The rescheduled meeting will
\ntake place on Tuesday, February 3rd, at 7:00 PM. The resolution based
\non the recommendations of the Fort Worth Human Relations Commission
\n(HRC) is on the agenda to be considered. The deaf and hard of hearing
\ncommunity, including family, friends and supporters are encouraged to
\nattend in support of the Council passing the resolution.<\/p>\n
The recommendations as they were presented by the HRC on January 13th
\nare posted on blog-site http:\/\/yourvotecountsp2.wordpress.com on the
\nHRC Page. Also see the Action Page, which shows a list of actions or
\ninvitations to participate in the political process. The focus is to
\nget more people with disabilities including those who are deaf and
\nhard of hearing voting, especially with local and state elections
\ncoming up. The blog-site is a work in progress. Be sure to leave
\nquestions, comments and suggestions and watch for new information.<\/p>\n
In support of the resolution to be considered by the Fort Worth City
\nCouncil on February 3rd, see the campaign to call Fort Worth City Hall
\non Monday and Tuesday, February 2nd and 3rd also on the Action Page.
\nWe ask for your help in using this occasion as an opportunity to give
\nCity Hall the experience of receiving calls via the various
\ntechnologies and equipment used by the deaf and hard of hearing
\ncommunity.<\/p>\n
