Normal hours are Monday through<br \/>\nFriday, 8:30 \u2013 5:00.<\/p>\n<p>Deaf Senior Citizens meet every Tuesday and Thursday from 9:30 a.m.<br \/>\nto 2:00 p.m. They enjoy games, crafts, educational talks, socializing,<br \/>\nand a hot lunch provided by Senior Citizen Services of Greater Tarrant<br \/>\nCounty. The Deaf Senior Citizens group uses sign language and welcomes<br \/>\nnew members and guests age 60 and up.<\/p>\n<p>The Hearing Loss Association of Fort Worth meets on the second<br \/>\nSaturday of each month from 10:00 &#8211; 11:30 a.m. \u201cThe Hearing Loss<br \/>\nAssociation of America is the nations foremost membership and advocacy<br \/>\norganization for people with hearing loss. HLAA opens the world of<br \/>\ncommunication to people with hearing loss through information,<br \/>\neducation, support, and advocacy.\u201d Persons with hearing loss and<br \/>\ntheir families and friends are encouraged to attend Fort Worth chapter<br \/>\nmeetings. Programs are interesting and helpful, and the group is<br \/>\nsupportive. Communication access is provided by an assistive listening<br \/>\nsystem and realtime captioning on a large screen.<\/p>\n<p>Videophone (VP) service is open for free public use during regular<br \/>\nbusiness hours, Monday \u2013 Friday.<\/p>\n<p>Deaf Action Center (Dallas) now rents space for services at Goodrich<br \/>\nCenter. These DAC people can help you in Fort Worth:<\/p>\n<p>Deafness Resource Specialist Emily Robinson can assist people who are<br \/>\nDeaf, Hard of Hearing, or Late-Deafened in the areas of advocacy, self<br \/>\nempowerment, and sensitivity training, as well as Federal and State<br \/>\nmandates on equal access to services, including education and<br \/>\nemployment.
