NAD Exhibits at 2009 DeafNation Expos Nationwide <\/p>\n
Silver Spring, MD \u2013 The National Association of the Deaf (NAD) is
\npleased to announce that it will be at all fifteen 2009 DeafNation
\nExpo locations (see schedule below).<\/p>\n
Starting with first show on Saturday, February 21 in Greensboro, NC,
\nvolunteer representatives with the support of the North Carolina
\nAssociation of the Deaf will explain the benefits of NAD membership,
\nencourage Million Deaf Dollar Club booster donations, and show a movie
\nproviding historical highlights.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are very excited to be able to reach out to the deaf community
\nacross the country,\u201d said NAD President Bobbie Beth Scoggins. \u201cWe
\ninvite DeafNation Expo attendees to learn about the NAD and influence
\nthe future of our cherished community by becoming members and
\nboosters!\u201d<\/p>\n

The National Association of the Deaf (NAD) was established in 1880 by
\ndeaf leaders who believed in the right of the American deaf community
\nto use sign language, to congregate on issues important to them, and
\nto have its interests represented at the national level. These beliefs

\nAs a nonprofit federation, the mission of the NAD is to preserve,
