School for the Deaf employee gets six years<\/p>\n

A former dorm supervisor at the Texas School for the Deaf pleaded
\nguilty Monday to having an improper relationship with a student and
\nwas sentenced to six years in prison, said Travis County Assistant
\nDistrict Attorney Allison Wetzel.<\/p>\n

Shane Flournoy, 33, told his minister last year that he had sexually
\nabused a minor and wanted to turn himself in, launching a police
\ninvestigation, according to a police affidavit.<\/p>\n

Flournoy, who began working at the school in May 2007, had gone on
\nshopping trips with a 15-year-old male student and allowed the teen to
\nwatch pornography on his computer, Flournoy and the student told
\npolice, according to the affidavit.<\/p>\n

After his arrest, Flournoy was fired by the Texas School for Deaf.<\/p>\n

Wetzel said that Flournoy will now be transported to Houston where he
\nfaces aggravated sexual assault charges. She said the conduct alleged
\nin indictments in Houston against two victims happened before the
\nrelationship with the School for the Deaf student.<\/p>\n
