Alamo Drafthouse Cinema Sponsors Fundraiser to Support DeafACT\u2019s
\nand Texas School for the Deaf\u2019s GREASE Production<\/p>\n
Austin, Texas \u2013The Alamo Drafthouse Cinema on South Lamar Boulevard
\npresents a special, FREE, captioned showing of the 1978 musical film,
\nGREASE, on Monday, March 2, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. to support DeafACT\u2019s
\nupcoming live production of the hit musical, premiering April 3 and 4
\nat the Texas School for the Deaf (TSD).<\/p>\n
To help raise funds for production costs like costumes and set
\ndesign, the TSD\/DeafACT cast and crew will gladly accept donations at
\nthe door.<\/p>\n
And as a special treat, TSD students starring in the school\u2019s
\nupcoming live production will \u201csign along\u201d with the music of the
\nfilm Monday evening for a sneak peek at signed interpretations of
\nmusic, performed using American Sign Language.<\/p>\n
