Hello DAD Members and Friends <\/p>\n
It is my pleasure to introduce myself. I moved to Dallas
\napproximately a year and a half ago from Washington State. I attended
\nthe Washington School for the Deaf. Before I moved to Dallas, I have
\nworked with patients at NWDAC (Northwest Deaf Addictions Recovery
\nCenter). Prior to NWDAC, I used to own a live nightclub (for public),
\nowned a caf\u00e9, and had a landscaping business of my own along with my
\nexperience as a handyman\/maintenance for some apartment complexes. I
\nhave two children, aged 17 and 8. My daughter is Deaf and my young son
\nis hearing.<\/p>\n
Based on my experience that I have had in Washington, I feel I can
\nmake many good contributions to DAD. I am much honored that the
\nmembers voted for me.<\/p>\n
As you know, the following who are on the board and I am pleased to
\nhave them as part of my team: Vice President: Marianne Sasseen,
\nSecretary: Janel Davis, Treasurer: Jimmy Cooksey, and the Board
\nMembers: Sonja Cooksey, Melissa Schiber, Anthony Jones, Cindi Nagy
\n(social director), Kent Reneau (chairperson of the board), Rita J.
\nReneau (kitchen manager), and Sheryl Schroeder. David Normand is our
\nBar and House manager. Maxine Satarino is our Admission and Membership
\nchairperson.<\/p>\n
I would like to list the following events planned at DAD for March:<\/p>\n
March 14 – SWBAD AFTER EVENT PARTY – 8 pm – 2 am<\/p>\n
March 20 – General Members meeting – 7:30 pm<\/p>\n
March 21 – CINGO NIGHT (Lasagna\/salad\/bread will be sold by SWBAD
\nCommittee)<\/p>\n
March 28 – two presentations: VIABLE (11 – 2 pm) along with food.<\/p>\n
SORENSON (6 – 8 pm)<\/p>\n
