Mildred Lucille Williamson Nov. 12, 1912 – Feb. 20, 2009 Mildred
\nLucille Williamson, age 96, passed away Friday, February 20, 2009. She
\nwas born in Commerce, Texas to Lula Maud and Ola Doss Alexander. She
\nbecame deaf at two years old from diphenhydramie with very high fever.
\nShe attended deaf-oral school in Dallas for two years, and then
\ntransferred to Texas School for the Deaf in Austin in 1920 and was in
\nthe class of 1933. <\/p>\n
She was married to Hubert Williamson on June 21, 1942 and were
\nmarried for 53 years. She was preceded in death by her husband on
\nDecember 8, 1997. Mildred is survived by three children, daughter,
\nLinda Nunn of Dale, TX; and two sons, John Williamson of San Marcos,
\nTX and Rodney Williamson of Austin, TX; six grandchildren, ten
\ngreat-grandchildren, two great- great-grandchildren and two great-
\ngreat-great-grandchildren. <\/p>\n
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday,
\nFebruary 25, 2009 at Cook-Walden\/Forest Oaks Funeral Home, 6300 W.
\nWilliam Cannon Drive. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m.
\nThursday, February 26, 2009 at Southern Hills Church of Christ, 3740
\nRR 967 in Buda, Texas with Randy Consford officiating. Interment will
\nfollow at 2:00 p.m. at Cook-Walden\/Capital Parks Cemetery, 14501 N.
\nIH-35 in Pflugerville. Honoring Mildred as pallbearers will be James
\nGoolsby, Tom Cowan, Ron Hovingna, Johnny Dominik, Kent Kenedy, David
\nSuddath and Dennis Gage.<\/p>\n
