Local Elections are Important!<\/p>\n
Local elections are opportunities for our voices to be heard by those
\nwho serve in elected offices, including our city councils and school
\nboards. On Saturday, April 4, 2009, you will learn about the
\nImportance of Voting, Voting Rights, Voting Laws, and the Voting
\nProcess from Registration to Early Voting. You\u2019ll receive
\ninformation on being a Poll Worker. And, there\u2019s more!<\/p>\n
* Meet the Candidates! A special time to meet and talk with
\ncandidates about your concerns and ideas.<\/p>\n
* Experience voting in the Mock Voting Demonstration! Voting machines
\nare supplied by the Tarrant County Elections Center.<\/p>\n
* Information Exhibits! Non-profits, agencies and providers will
\ninformation about services and latest technology. See list below.<\/p>\n
Bring family and friends. Meet the candidates. Prepare to vote.
