Welcome to the Inaugural Season of Carnival ah!<\/p>\n
ACC’s Arts and Humanities Division is sponsoring a 3-day carnival of<\/p>\n
public events and academic\/artistic offerings in the arts and<\/p>\n
humanities, held April 2nd – 4th on the grounds of ACC Rio Grande<\/p>\n
Campus.<\/p>\n
The mission of ah! is to inspire, encourage, and support existing and<\/p>\n
new academic and artistic collaboration among the seven individual<\/p>\n
departments of the Arts and Humanities Division (Art, Creative
\nWriting,<\/p>\n
Dance, Drama, English for Speakers of Other Languages, Foreign<\/p>\n
Languages, Philosophy, Humanities, & Religion) and with other
\ncreative<\/p>\n
departments in the college.<\/p>\n
In addition, Carnival ah! invites Austin’s many community arts
\nprograms<\/p>\n
and schools to the Rio Grande Campus to meet each other and the
\nAustin<\/p>\n
public and to showcase their programs.<\/p>\n
WE NEED YOUR HELP<\/p>\n
DATE: SATURDAY, APRIL 4<\/p>\n
WHERE: Austin Community College, Rio Grande Campus, ROOM 105<\/p>\n
TIME: 10:00A-5:00P<\/p>\n
VSA arts of Texas will have a classroom for our art activity. We will<\/p>\n
also be showing a video that is audio described along with an art<\/p>\n
activity “Trip Quilt”. We will need people to greet, introduce people<\/p>\n
to VSA and our mission, explain the art activity, keep space cleaned
\nup<\/p>\n
and answer any questions. I have blocked off 3 shifts with 4-5 people<\/p>\n
at each shift time. Please let me know what shift you would like to<\/p>\n
work. Also, there will be lots of booths all around to enjoy and food<\/p>\n
you can purchase. So come prepared to work a little and play alot.<\/p>\n
