“Deaf Missions in West Africa”<\/p>\n
This Deaf Fellowship Altar was built under the direction of Trevor
\nSwearingen (Deaf) for his Eagle Scout Project. Several of our Deaf
\nmembers, Trevor’s family, the wood shop teacher at Rowlett High School
\nand other Boy Scouts from Trevor’s troop at First United Methodist
\nChurch, Rowlett, Texas help build this altar. The altar is made of
\nbeautiful cherry wood. Also made were an “I Love You” Cross, Bible
\nstand, and two candle stick holders. We will dedicate this altar to
\nthe service of God and to the remembrance of Jesus\u2019 sacrifice for
\nall.<\/p>\n
“Deaf Missions in West Africa” is presented by Dr. Victor Vodounou of
\nLive Ear Ministries. Victor was born in Benin, West Africa and is a
\nnaturalized citizen of the USA, living in Houston. He has written a
\nbook “The Incredible Journey of Victor Vodounou”. This book includes a
\nconversion story of when he met Andrew Foster, a famous graduate of
\nGallaudet University who established over 30 Deaf schools and churches
\nin Africa. Victor will be available afterwards to sell and sign his
\nbook, which will support his on-going ministry in West Africa. <\/p>\n
