They might be able to<br \/>\n\u201cbuy in\u201d to Medicaid coverage by paying a monthly premium.<\/p>\n<p>This buy-in program offers the same services that others get through<br \/>\nMedicaid. These include:<\/p>\n<p>Office visits<\/p>\n<p>Hospital stays<\/p>\n<p>X-rays<\/p>\n<p>Vision services<\/p>\n<p>Hearing services<\/p>\n<p>Prescriptions<\/p>\n<p>Who should apply? To get into the Medicaid Buy-In program, a person<br \/>\nmust:<\/p>\n<p>Meet the disability requirements of the Social Security<br \/>\nAdministration.<\/p>\n<p>Be employed or self employed, either part-time or full-time.<\/p>\n<p>Earn enough money for a Social Security qualifying quarter (3-month<br \/>\nperiod ending each<\/p>\n<p>March 31, June 30, September 30, and December 31). Income limits<br \/>\nchange each year.<\/p>\n<p>How to apply:<\/p>\n<p>Call 2-1-1.<\/p>\n<p>Visit your local HHSC benefits office.<\/p>\n<p>Visit www.YourTexasBenefits.com. Click on &#8220;Request an application.&#8221;<br \/>\nThen choose the Integrated <\/p>\n<p>Application.
