https:\/\/depts.washington.edu\/projhql\/FAQ\/index.htm<\/a><\/p>\nWe are excited to announce that the Quality of Life-Deaf\/HOH
\ninstrument is ready for standardization and norming. We need about 400
\nparticipants, both youths (11 to 18 yrs) and parents of children
\n(5-10) who are deaf or hard of hearing. This project is funded by the
\nNational Institute of Health.<\/p>\n
Each eligible youth participant will be paid $25. Parent participants
\nwill be paid $25 for each child (age 5 to 10) who is eligible.<\/p>\n
There are two parts to the survey participation process. First, you
\nwill complete a screening form online (less than 5 minutes). If your
\nchild is eligible, a research staff will mail you a packet of forms to
\nsign and return to us. After we get the forms, a research staff will
\ngive you a password to begin filling out the survey form online. For
\nparents, the survey will take about 30 minutes to complete. For
\nyouths, it will take about 45 minutes to complete. If you or the youth
\nprefer ASL administration, we can mail you a DVD. The English print is
\navailable online and in paper form if you prefer this.<\/p>\n
