Ben Disney, Preaching<\/p>\n<p>A sign language interpreter will interpret the entire service and<br \/>\nconcert.<\/p>\n<p>This year, 2009, is the 200th anniversary of German composer Felix<br \/>\nMendelssohn\u2019s birth. Mendelssohn, one of the Romantic period\u2019s<br \/>\nmost prolific composers, was born to a notable Jewish family which<br \/>\nlater converted to Christianity. Sunday morning at 11:00, the Chancel<br \/>\nChoir and The Orchestra at Arborlawn present his setting of Psalm 95,<br \/>\nentitled \u201cCome, Let Us Sing.\u201d This is a magnificent choral work of<br \/>\npraise to our living God also featuring soloists Frankye Davis, Pam<br \/>\nStoker, Kay Phillips, and Alan Davis.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, the choir will sing three anthems composed by Mack<br \/>\nWilberg, presently the conductor of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. The<br \/>\ncongregation joins the choir and orchestra in singing \u201cWhen Morning<br \/>\nGilds the Skies\u201d and \u201cO God, Our Help in Ages Past\u201d arranged by<br \/>\nDallas composer, Sterling Procter.
