WORKSHOP DESCRIPTIONS<\/p>\n
\u201cReach Out and Touch \u2013 Evangelism in Deaf Ministry\u201d<\/p>\n

This workshop will confront issues as it relates to language and
\nculture of the deaf and the appropriate use of sign choices for street
\nevangelism. Workshop will also highlight several key topics such as:
\nThe Motivation of an effective witness, The Power of A Witness, Why
\nGod Gave Us Power a) To Be a Witness b) Spiritual Warfare, Overcoming
\nyour Fear of Witnessing, What Do I When People Aren\u2019t Interested,
\nSteps for Developing an Effective Plan of Evangelism, Steps for
\nEffective Soul Winning. In addition, group activities will be utilized
\nto demonstrate and practice effective ways to evangelize.<\/p>\n
\u201cYou Said What?!? \u2013 Rightly Interpreting the Word of God\u201d<\/p>\n

This workshop will be approached from three different angles.
\nPrimarily, we will investigate the interpretation of Scriptures as it
\nrelates to history, culture, and the language and customs of Biblical
\ntimes in order to determine context. Secondly, we will introduce a
\nunique study philosophy that allows you to do your own study, and draw
\nyour own conclusions based on your interpretation of the content of
\nscripture. Finally, we will use this concept to determine the proper
\nword (sign) usage and ASL structure that can be used to convey the
\nproper meaning and intent of a passage.<\/p>\n
PCRID will offer up to .9 PS CEUs for Friday \/ Saturday Sessions<\/p>\n
