The Gainful Employment Model (GEM) can assist you in<br \/>\ntraining for a career in one of the following occupations:<\/p>\n<p>Profession Program Length Avg. Salary with experience<\/p>\n<p>Administrative Assistant 7 weeks $17.76\/hr <\/p>\n<p>Bookkeeping 10 weeks $15.43\/hr <\/p>\n<p>Automotive Technician 12 months $17.90\/hr<\/p>\n<p>Pharmacy Technician 9-12 months $14.28\/hr<\/p>\n<p>Who can participate?<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Eligible individuals include: formerly incarcerated persons,<br \/>\nrecipients of Travis County<\/p>\n<p>emergency assistance or other public assistance, persons with a<br \/>\ndisability, or a young adults<\/p>\n<p>aging out of the foster care system.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Travis County resident<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 18 years or older<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Eligible to work in the U.S.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 High School graduate or GED<\/p>\n<p>What do I receive?<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Vocational assessment to help guide your selection of appropriate<br \/>\ntraining choices<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Training in a high-demand occupation<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Sponsorship for tuition, books and related training expenses<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Job placement assistance upon successful completion of training<\/p>\n<p>How do I get started?<\/p>\n<p>Contact Workforce Solutions today to find out more about the GEM<br \/>\nprogram!
