CLEARWATER, Fla. [June 9, 2009] \u2014 Hearing, deaf and hard of hearing
\ncustomers who use ZVRS.TV or CSDVRS.TV for video relay services (VRS)
\nnow have the option of connecting through an 800 number. Effective
\nimmediately, callers using VP200s in both public and private settings
\ncan simply dial 888-888-1116.<\/p>\n
The Z\u2122, the country\u2019s leading VRS innovator, has responded to a
\ndesire for an easier way to link to ZVRS.TV and CSDVRS.TV,
\nparticularly when using public videophones. Callers who find it
\ncumbersome to manually enter an alphabetic address can now use the
\nnumeric alternative.<\/p>\n
\u201cFeedback revealed that many VRS callers preferred the ease of
\ndialing numbers rather than typing out letters,\u201d said Tim Rarus,
\nCSDVRS vice president of sales. He emphasized, however, that the new
\ntoll-free number does not replace the ZVRS.TV or CSDVRS.TV addresses.
\n\u201cIt merely provides another option for our customers,\u201d Rarus said.<\/p>\n
Those who have ZVRS.TV or CSDVRS.TV stored in their videophone do not
\nneed to make any changes to their address book, because callers may
\ncontinue to connect to using either of the alphabetic addresses on
\nboth public and private videophones.<\/p>\n
