VRI service may<br \/>\nbe used when the deaf person and hearing person are in the same room<br \/>\ntogether and the interpreter is at a different location.<\/p>\n<p>The National Consortium of Interpreter Education Centers (NIEC) wants<br \/>\nto identify common needs, issues and practices of the VRI industry.<\/p>\n<p>This email is to ask Deaf, Hard of Hearing and Deaf-Blind people to<br \/>\nparticipate in an on-line survey (see the link provided below). The<br \/>\nsurvey online will take about 20 minutes to complete. The survey ends<br \/>\non June 30, 2009.<\/p>\n<p>The survey will ask you about your experiences using VRI. Your<br \/>\nresponses will be confidential and only available to the NIEC research<br \/>\nteam.<\/p>\n<p>It is your decision to participate in this research project. You do<br \/>\nnot have to participate.
