Responsibilities of Teaching Assistant\/ ASL Interpreter Includes
\n* The teaching assistant will be responsible for working with the classroom teachers, students and parents to implement the instructional program.
\n* Work cooperatively with all campus staff, parents and students.
\n* The assistant will utilize excellent organizational and interpersonal skills to work with staff, students and the community in a positive, polite and friendly manner. <\/p>\n

Teaching Assistant\/ American Sign Language Interpreter <\/p>\n
Requirements for Teaching Assistant\/ American Sign Language Interpreter:<\/p>\n
* High school diploma or GED; competency in American Sign Language;
\n* Computer skills (proficient skills in typing, word processing, spreadsheet, power point and file maintenance;
\n* Ability to do detailed work accurately;
\n* Strong understanding of confidentiality; such alternatives to the above as may be deemed appropriate.
\n* Prefer classroom experience and\/or interpreter experience. <\/p>\n
Compensation: <\/p>\n
The salary will be determined by the 2009-2010 Jean Massieu Academy Teaching Assistant\/ ASL Interpreter Salary Schedule and experience. <\/p>\n
