I am also looking for a person who interprets to help me with this show. They would be my assistant director. If you know of any interpreters or interns who would love this opportunity, I would be most grateful. Our budget isn’t huge. They would have to be at rehearsals Monday-Thursday
\n7-9:30 beginning sometime in August 2009. <\/p>\n
Here is the rundown of characters in show:<\/p>\n
Sarah Norman – mid-twenties. Deaf from birth.
\n(This character MUST speak the last line of the show though)<\/p>\n
Orin Dennis – in his twenties. Has some residual hearing: a lip reader<\/p>\n
Lydia – in her late teens. Has some residual hearing, a lip reader (I might have someone for this part- company member we’ll see if she can do it)<\/p>\n
The authors note: The author insists – in any professional production of this play – the roles of Sarah, Orin and Lydia be performed by deaf or hearing impaired actors.<\/p>\n
