HEART OF TEXAS INTERPRETERS FOR THE DEAF EXPRESSIVE INTERPRETING Presented
\nby Kent Kennedy Kent Kennedy is a division director of CSD of Texas. He
\nworks with Deaf Resources Specialists, Hearing Loss Resource Specialist,
\nEquipment Distribution Program Manager, Senior Citizens Program Manager
\nwhich are funded by Office for Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services of the
\nDepartment of Assistive and Rehabilitative Services\/ Division for
\nRehabilitation Services.<\/p>\n
Kennedy was voted as the 30th NAD President in 2002. He served two terms as
\nvice president of the Association. His principal duties during the two terms
\nincluded the development of the NAD State Association Handbook, oversight of
\nthe NAD Policy Manual, and participation in the development of NAD Strategic
\nGoals. Kennedy also served two terms as president of the Texas Association
\nof the Deaf (TAD) and chaired the 1992-93 Symposiums on Deaf and Hard of
\nHearing Texans. He works with Communication Workshops Skills since 1997 as
\nwell. He has continued to teach different classes under Austin Sign Language
\nSchool since 1991.<\/p>\n
