For my dissertation, I am conducting a study on the literacy<br \/>\nexperiences of first-generation Deaf Latino college students for the purpose<br \/>\nof hopefully  identifying  the experiences that support and reinforce the<br \/>\ndevelopment of  literacy  skills  in Deaf Latino college students. The title of my<br \/>\ndissertation is, \u201cAn Examination of the Literacy Experiences of First Generation Deaf<br \/>\nLatino College Students.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>I am looking for participants who attended a college or university and\/or<br \/>\ngraduated, between the years 2001-2008, and have parents who did not,<br \/>\nthemselves, attend college. The study would involve no more than three hours<br \/>\nof your time, for which you would be compensated $20.00 per hour. I would be<br \/>\nhappy to  work  around  your  schedule.  This study will involve a series of<br \/>\ninterviews, which can be conducted in person or via videophone.<\/p>\n<p>I would very much appreciate it if you would be willing to participate in my<br \/>\nstudy.  I would be happy to answer any questions you may have.
