Ordering information is on the TxDOT (Texas Department of Transportation) web-site. There is an annual cost of $30.00 for the plate, of which $22.00 goes to DHHS to help fund special services in  one of  programs. Please use the following URL to access the application  form. After mailing in your completed application and the applicable fee,  you will be notified by TxDOT that your license plate is ready and where you  can pick it up. You will need to take in your current plates and exchange  them for your new &#8220;I Love Texas&#8221; plates.<\/p>\n<p>The plate was designed by graphic artist, Kari Graves, with input\/feedback  from persons who are deaf\/hard of hearing, interpreters and other service  providers alike from across the state. Mrs. Graves, who is deaf, graduated  from Texas State Technical Institute (now Texas State Technical College) in  Waco. She and her husband, Charles, reside in New Braunfels.
