RIO Technical Services, Inc. invites you to spend the day with Sammie
\nSheppard & Andrea Musick King for a fun and informative workshop to bridge
\nthe gap between law enforcement, the Deaf community, and Interpreters.
\nParticipants will role play in various scenarios involving topics such as
\ntraffic stops, interviews and interrogations, and hostage negotiations just
\nto name a few.<\/p>\n

\nITP Students $50<\/p>\n

Sammie currently works as an Interpreter in a private practice and serves as
\nan adjunct instructor for the TCC Sign Language Interpreting program. Sammie
\nholds a RID: CT, BEI Court Certification, and BEI Level III.<\/p>\n

Andrea is a Police Detective for Highland Village. She has a Bachelor\u2019s
\ndegree in Criminal Justice and took ASL as a foreign language. Andrea is
\ncurrently enrolled in the Interpreting Training program at TCC.<\/p>\n
