TJC Hiring ASL and Interpreting Instructors<\/strong><\/p>\n

Tyler Junior College
\nSign Language Interpreter Training Program
\nSearching for Instructors<\/p>\n

I. We are searching for qualified ASL professors for our growing program.
\nCurrently we have part-time openings for evening and summer ASL I-V courses
\nas well as Fingerspelling\/Numbers, Deaf Culture, and Visual Gestural
\nCommunication. We have an urgent need beginning Summer 2010.<\/p>\n

At least one full-time position may be available within a year or so due to
\nretirement. \u201cSigning Naturally\u201d curriculum is used and TJC recently
\ninstalled a SANS, Inc. ASL computer lab.<\/p>\n

Qualifications:
\n1. Native ASL signer
\n2. Masters degree preferred
\n3. Teaching experience<\/p>\n

2. We are also in need of part time interpreter training professors.<\/p>\n

Qualifications:
\n1. Certified BEI or RID\/NIC interpreter Level III\/Advanced or above
\n2. Masters Degree preferred
\n3. Teaching experience<\/p>\n
