RIT Sponsors National Competition for Students with Hearing Loss<\/strong><\/p>\n

Rochester, N.Y. \u2013 (Nov. 20, 2009) Rochester Institute of Technology is
\naccepting entries in its fifth annual Digital Arts, Film and Animation
\nCompetition for deaf or hard-of-hearing middle and high school students.<\/p>\n

Students in grades 9 through 12 can use their creative talents and artistic
\nexpression in six categories: Web Page Design, Graphic Media, 3-D Animation,
\nFilm, Interactive Media and Photo Imaging.<\/p>\n

Last year\u2019s winning entries came from students in California, Minnesota,
\nArkansas, New York, Kansas, Virginia and Illinois.<\/p>\n

Students submitting winning entries in each category will receive a $250
\nprize and an all-expenses-paid trip to Rochester, N.Y. for the awards
\nceremony in the spring and an exhibition of their work. RIT is home to the
\nNational Technical Institute for the Deaf (NTID), where more than 1,300
\nstudents with hearing loss from around the world study, live, and socialize
\nwith 15,000 hearing students on campus.<\/p>\n

Students may submit up to two entries.<\/p>\n
