I want to give a BIG WAVE OF HANDS TO SORENSEN for making these VP200s & TV available to the public school systems…this is a WONDERFUL way to enhance the students’ communication skills. It also allows us to network to help with transitioning the deaf and hard of hearing high school students successfully to college programs such as at Austin Community College.<\/p>\n
Austin Community College has been one of the recipients of Sorensen VP-100s\/TVs for the past several years. These systems have been invaluable to us in facilitating open access & clear communications between students, faculty, staff, local & state agencies, & the Deaf & Hearing Community outside ACC. We are very appreciative of their generosity and are pleased to see that this program will be extended to the public schools as well.<\/p>\n
The only area we have experienced challenges is with firewalls preventing calls between ACC and Texas School for the Deaf. We have a great working relationship with TSD, and David Coco at TSD has been trying to work this out so we’ll be able to freely communicate with the students, teachers, counselors & administrators at TSD. Thanks David!<\/p>\n
