\nDeafness Resource Specialist
\nMonday thru Friday, 8:00 a.m.\u20144:30 p.m.<\/strong><\/p>\n

DESCRIPTION:
\nSeeking a Deafness Resource Specialist to serve Health and Human Service
\nRegion 3B (Fort Worth). The successful candidate will have the
\nknowledge-base and communication ability to work with persons who are deaf,
\nhard of hearing and late deafened in the areas of advocacy, self-empowerment
\nand sensitivity training, as well as with Federal and State mandates on
\nequal access to services, including education and employment. In many
\ninstances, Specialists work as liaisons between consumers and service
\nproviders on appropriate service provision.<\/p>\n

QUALIFICATIONS:
\n* High School Diploma, some College Preferred,
\n* Basic knowledge of the communication needs of persons who are deaf or hard
\nof hearing
\n* Knowledge of the American with Disabilities Act, IDEA, and 504
\n* Public Speaking Experience and Ability
\n* Fluent in American Sign Language
\n* Good skills in relating one on one with clients and others
\n* Reliable Transportation<\/p>\n
