SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT – ARTSNET Individual Grant Applications Available
\nNow: Raise Art Awareness in North Tarrant County!<\/strong><\/p>\n

This is a unique opportunity for all artists and teachers, including artists
\nand teachers who are deaf and hard of hearing, to receive a grant to raise
\nart awareness and tap into the artistic talents of residents in 16 cities
\nserved by ARTSNET.<\/p>\n

“Our mission is to encourage, support and facilitate artistic cultural
\nopportunities within the communities of North Tarrant County,” said Cathy
\nHernandez, President of ARTSNET. “We have granted over $1.2 million in
\nNorth Tarrant County in support of programs for at-risk youth, school
\nchildren, seniors, emerging arts groups, to name a few,” explained
\nHernandez. “We want to bring a new and thriving art experience to our
\nresidents who are deaf and hard of hearing or may have special needs. Our
\nIndividual Grant Program is a way to do that.”<\/p>\n

ARTSNET, once called the Trinity Arts Guild, is recognized by the Texas
\nCommission on the Arts as the official arts council of North Tarrant County
\nsince 1997. Artists are not required to be residents of Tarrant County,
\nalthough that would be preferred. The 16 cities are located between the
\nDallas\/Fort Worth Metroplex. They include Bedford, Colleyville, Euless,
\nGrapevine, Haltom City, Haslet, Hurst, Keller, North Richland Hills,
\nRichland Hills, Roanoke, Saginaw, Southlake, Trophy Club, Watauga and
\nEstlake. ARTSNET also serves seven school districts. They are Birdville,
\nCarroll, Eagle Mountain-Saginaw, Grapevine-Colleyville,
\nHurst-Euless-Bedford, Keller and Northwest, including private and home
\nschools.<\/p>\n
