Assistive Technology Delivers Mobile Captioning, Assistive Listening, and

HOUSTON–(EON: Enhanced Online News)–Softeq Development Corporation is
\nproud to announce the completion of the DURATEQ Live with Intelligent Access
\nmobile captioning, audio description, and assistive listening service at
\nCowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas. This past Sunday, DURATEQ Assistive
\nTechnology Version (ATV) handhelds were made available for guests who are
\ndeaf, hearing impaired, blind, or low vision to enjoy the first NFC Playoff
\ngame. Final testing was completed during the Cotton Bowl, and the service
\nwas unveiled publically at the January 3, 2010 Dallas Cowboys home game.<\/p>\n

\u201cNow at any large event at Cowboys Stadium, our guests will never miss any
\nportion of the event while at the Stadium. We are excited to have this
\nproduct available to any guest who needs it.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Dallas Cowboys Football Club contacted us to build a universal
\nexperience for all their fans, and we teamed up with Georgia Tech\u2019s wireless
\ncaptioning specialist Intelligent Access to create a customized assistive
\ntechnology solution for them,\u201d said Trey Litel, Vice President of Softeq
\nDevelopment Corporation. \u201cThe spectacular Dallas Cowboys Stadium has the
\nbest technology and now with DURATEQ ATV they have added real time mobile
\ncaptioning and assistive audio anywhere in the stadium!\u201d<\/p>\n

Originally developed for the Walt Disney World theme park, the DURATEQ ATV
\nmakes the full game experience available to all guests. Softeq adapted their
\napplication to include the Intelligent Access software to add real time
\nmobile captioning to the platform. The device also provides assistive
\nlistening of all public address system announcements and assistive audio
\nplay by play announcements in English and Spanish. Fully integrated into the
\nexisting Dallas Cowboys Stadium captioning infrastructure, the server
\nbroadcasts content over the stadium WiFi network and assistive band FM
\ntransmitters.<\/p>\n
