As the Social Security Administration (SSA) Ticket to Work Program Manager
\nfor Recruitment and Outreach (PMRO), the CESSI Division of Axiom Resource
\nManagement (CESSI) is responsible for increasing communications and
\nawareness regarding the Ticket Program and Work Incentives. As the Region
\nsix Account Manager for CESSI, I am specifically charged with developing a
\ncommunications network in this region, including: Arkansas, Louisiana, New
\nMexico, Oklahoma, and Texas. I look forward to collaborating with you to

\nThe Social Security Administration and CESSI, the Program Manager for
\nRecruitment and Outreach for the Ticket to Work program, are pleased to

CESSI, and our partner New Editions Consulting, collaborate with the Work
\nIncentive Planning and Assistance (WIPA) Projects to host Work Incentive
\nSeminars (WISE) Events across the nation.<\/p>\n

What are WISE Events? WISE Events are FREE community events, held by the
\nWIPA Projects, for beneficiaries with disabilities and their families to
\nlearn more about Ticket to Work and other work incentives through
\naccessible, informal, learning opportunities. Beneficiaries should attend a
\nWISE to connect with local training and employment resources, explore
\nopportunities to increase their income, and network with other job seekers
\nand employers.<\/p>\n

Who\u2019s invited? Employers, Employment Networks, Vocational Rehabilitation,
\nProtection and Advocacy Services, and other employment supports are invited
\nto these meetings to share information about available services and

Reaching Out to Spanish Speaking Beneficiaries<\/p>\n

SSA and CESSI hosted a Ticket to Work Training Teleconference on October 15,
\n2009 for Spanish-speaking individuals with disabilities receiving Social
\nSecurity benefits and the organizations who work with these individuals.
\nThe teleconference provided an overview of the Ticket to Work program and
\nother valuable Work Incentives, Work Incentive Seminar Events (WISE Events),
\nthe technical assistance support offered to Latinos with Disabilities
\nthrough Proyecto Visi\u00f3n, the services and supports Employment Networks
\nprovide, and important resources available to SSI\/SSDI recipients. The
\nteleconference will be archived and available shortly at

\nNEW EMPLOYER INITIATIVE LAUNCHED BY SSA AND CESSI<\/p>\n

Tell your local employers all about it! If a local employer is committed to
\nhiring qualified workers with disabilities, it may choose (1) to Turn
\n\u201cDiversity into Dollars\u201d by becoming an approved Employment Network (EN) –
\nOR – (2) register as an Employer Partner to promote their organization as a
\ndisability-friendly employer on our website, where jobseekers will be
\nreferred to the employer\u2019s job opportunities. Or, it can choose to
\nparticipate in both types of partnerships.<\/p>\n

Ask your local employers, and employer associations – such as Chamber of
\nCommerce and Business Leadership Networks – to join us as an Employer
\nPartner to highlight their business as disability-friendly employer to gain
\nexposure to thousands of qualified applicants with disabilities.<\/p>\n

Strictly business! If the employer has a demonstrated commitment to hiring
\npeople with disabilities and meets the Employer Partner criteria, they can
\npost a company logo with a link to their job postings’ webpage directly from
\nthe CESSI Ticket to Work website. The partnership requirements employers

Thousands of jobseekers, and service provider agencies\/job
\ncoaches\/employment specialists, will have direct access to their jobs. This

Ticket to Work Mental Health Summit: Supporting Recovery Through Work<\/p>\n

The first-ever Mental Health Summit held by Social Security Administration
\nin partnership with the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services
\nAdministration (SAMHSA), the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services
\n(CMS), and CESSI, occurred from November 15 through November 17, 2009 in
\nNew Orleans, LA.<\/p>\n

The Summit brought together more than 300 diverse mental and behavioral
\nhealth decision makers and national opinion leaders for this exciting event
\nto improve awareness and build momentum for the Ticket to Work Program.
\nDuring the two-day summit, the lineup of presenters gave a series of
\nimpactful keynotes and breakout sessions. Keynote speakers included:<\/p>\n

This webinar targeted Universities and\/or Higher Education entities

\nTicket program and how it can generate revenue for the school, the value of

Employment Network (EN) Revenue Estimator: This tool allows you to

Employment Network Handbooks: Two new handbooks, one for Service Providers
\nand one for Employers, explain the Ticket program, how an organization can

\ndetailed information on how to become an EN, examples of EN models, and
\ninformation on options for partnering with State VR agencies under the new
