BAREFOOT IN THE PARK runs Friday February 5 through Saturday February 27,
\n2010.<\/p>\n

Hurst, Texas, June 23, 2009 \u2013 Artisan Center Theater proudly presents Neil
\nSimon’s BAREFOOT IN THE PARK at its 150 seat theater-in-the-round. The
\ntheater is located in the old historic Belaire Plaza at 420 E. Pipeline
\nRoad. The daytime box office is located at 418 E. Pipeline Road. The show
\nruns Friday February 5 through Saturday February 27, 2010. Performances are
\nat 7:30pm on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday with 3pm
\nmatinees on Saturdays 2\/13, 2\/20, 2\/27\/10. Reserved seating tickets are
\n$16.00 for adults, $14.00 for students and seniors, and $9.00 for children
\n12 and under. Monday through Thursday tickets are $12.00. The box office

BAREFOOT IN THE PARK is a light-hearted romantic comedy written by one of
\nthe most popular playwrights in the world. Neil Simon\u2019s plays are produced
\nin numbers only second to those of Shakespeare!<\/p>\n

Set in 1964, newlywed couple Corie and Paul Bratter are setting up house in
\na minuscule fifth-floor walkup apartment in a downtown Manhattan brownstone.
\nThe two must contend with a lack of heat, a skylight with a gaping hole,
\nseveral long flights of stairs, an oddball neighbor and a well-meaning
\nmother, in addition to adjusting to married life. Despite all this, as they
\nsay, \u201chilarity ensues.\u201d
\nInspired by the early days of his own marriage, this was Simon\u2019s second play
\nand his first runaway hit. The Broadway production ran nearly four years.
\nSimon later wrote the screenplay for the 1967 movie starring its New York
\nstar, Robert Redford.<\/p>\n
