Help Identify Community Needs in Travis County<\/strong><\/p>\n

Travis County invites the public to participate in community forums where
\nresidents will have an opportunity to present community needs and recommend
\nprojects for Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds for usage in the
\nunincorporated areas of Travis County. The information collected in the
\nforums will guide the selection of CDBG projects for the Program Year 2010
\n(October 2010 \u2013 September 2011) and help determine the priorities for the
\nfunding of the next three program years (October 2011 \u2013 September 2014).<\/p>\n

The Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program is funded by the United
\nStates Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to benefit Travis
\nCounty low- to moderate-income residents who live outside any city limit.
\nThe program supports community development activities aimed at revitalizing
\nneighborhoods, improving affordable housing options, and providing improved
\ncommunity facilities and services. For program year 2010, Travis County
\nanticipates to receive approximately $866,380.<\/p>\n
