Hello,<\/p>\n
I am writing in regards to my Step-Son who has been deaf since birth. He is
\n27 years old and is currently living with myself and his father in
\nMidlothian Texas.<\/p>\n
For the past year we have been trying to get him into Big Springs College
\nfor the Deaf without any luck. He does not drive so he is basically here in
\nhis room all day and all night.<\/p>\n
We would like to find a place for him to be able to live and work in a
\ncommunity where he can be around young people his age and have some quality
\nof life and possibly have a family of his own.<\/p>\n
He did graduate from High School in Seagoville, Texas, although he is barely
\nable to fill out any forms by his self. We feel he needs to find a job that
\nhe can do without the schooling and be able to support himself. He currently
\ngets SSI. We tried to go through DARS, which we both worked on for a year,
\nbut, they did not have anyone that spoke sign.<\/p>\n
We would deeply appreciate any assistance you can give us in this matter.<\/p>\n
