Geared toward: ASL students, the Deaf community, and Certified Interpreters
\nSkill level required: little\/none to some knowledge of the content<\/p>\n

Participants at this workshop will learn both the ASL and indigenous signs
\nfor countries in the Middle East\/Southwest Asia. Variations and regional
\nsigns for each country as well as the etymology of the signs will also be
\npresented (as available).<\/p>\n

In a group setting, participants will have the opportunity to practice
\nexpressive and receptive skills in communicative situations that incorporate
\nthe country signs taught.<\/p>\n

The main reference for these signs comes from www.aslresource.net, the
\nwebsite that showcases the presenter\u2019s research.<\/p>\n
