Attention Texas High School ASL Teachers<\/strong><\/p>\n

It’s time to be recognized! It’s time to raise your hands high and wave them
\nstrong for all the hard work you and your students do!!<\/p>\n

After much research, I have found that there is much interest yet, little
\naccomplished regarding competition and recognition for high school ASL
\nstudents \/ programs. Here is your chance to get in on the ground floor of
\nthe establishment of the ASL High School Area, Regional and State
\ncompetitions organization. Please take a few minutes to respond to the
\nquestions below so that we may involve as many perspectives as possible.<\/p>\n

We will be having an open forum at the end of an upcoming workshop
\n(“Strategies for Success in the ASL Classroom”) to be held May 8, 2010.
\n(official workshop announcement coming soon) Your opinion is important, your
\nhard work is valuable and your students deserve to be recognized!<\/p>\n

Please answer the following questions: (DO NOT click on “REPLY” but click
\n“FORWARD” and send to peggycobb@yahoo.com after you have answered the
\nquestions below)<\/p>\n

1) In which TEA Region is your ASL program located?
\nhttp:\/\/ritter.tea.state.tx.us\/ESC\/<\/a><\/p>\n

2) Approximately how many ASL students are currently in the program?<\/p>\n

3) How interested would you be to get involved in Area, Regional and
\nStatewide competitions for ASL?
\n(Very little, Somewhat, Very interested)<\/p>\n

4) What are some general topics that you think should be included in these
\ncompetitions?<\/p>\n

5) Would you be willing to serve on a committee to plan the 2010-2011 Texas
\nASL competitions?<\/p>\n
