Maureen Klusza<\/p>\n

Born in Red Bank, New Jersey, Maureen has been deaf since birth. She gives
\nher father, a deaf artist himself, credit for inspiring her primitive
\ndoodlings. In grade school, Maureen drew cartoons for her teachers. In high
\nschool, Maureen drew cartoons for everyone, helping raise funds for her
\nJunior Class by drawing caricatures for 50 cents each. A graduate of The
\nRochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, New York, Maureen has a BFA
\ndegree in Illustration, and today lives in Bay Area, California, with her
\nhusband, Robin, where she continues to draw cartoons. comics, logos and
\nillustrations for an impressive list of clients ~ when she isn\u2019t teaching
\nArt and Drama at California School for the Deaf. \u201cThe Deaf Side\u201d, a popular
\ncomic created by Maureen, gives a view of the world through Deaf eyes.<\/p>\n
