This dynamic<br \/>\nproduction joins the musical theatre canon with a feminist, revisionist,<br \/>\nre-telling of this well-beloved faery tale. This production is accessible<br \/>\nfor all ages.<\/p>\n<p>With its first-ever NEA-funded production, the artists of VORTEX Repertory<br \/>\nCompany have created some of the most stunning design and spectacle in the<br \/>\n22-year history of this cutting-edge company.  From the larger-than-life<br \/>\ncostumes for the 13 Faeries and the Royal Court to the huge revolving spiral<br \/>\ntower and the fantastical lighting, the magic of the mythic kingdom of<br \/>\nAvalia comes to life in song and spectacle.<\/p>\n<p>Cullum and Knowles first created Sleeping Beauty in 2005, in a heart-felt<br \/>\nversion that played to packed houses, adoring fans, and young princesses.<br \/>\nNow, they have re-worked and revised the original with some entirely new<br \/>\nsongs, revised text and music, a contemporary design, a new seating<br \/>\narrangement, and all-new stellar cast.   Don\u2019t miss the VORTEX performance<br \/>\nevent of the year.<\/p>\n<p>Conceived and directed by Bonnie Cullum.  Musical Direction by Content Love<br \/>\nKnowles.
