Volunteer Needed
The volunteer provides Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services (DHHS)
support services. The volunteer serves as a support to the clients by
assisting DHHS staff and the Coordinator with three programsEnglish
Literacy, Job Placement and Computer Literacy. Our program goal is to
provide the training for clients for employment.
The volunteer may assist with preparing intake forms, follow-up phone
calls, office duties, job placement or to monitor clients. Flexible
hours. A minimum 2 to 4 hours per month. No experience necessary.
Training is provided. A volunteer need to have qualities of
compassionate and mature individual, supportive of the DHHS concept.
We need volunteers who are free at these times:
Monthly, weekly or one-time basis
This volunteer opportunity is available to the following types of
volunteers:
Minimum Age Requirement: 25 years old or older with only exception
for those who are interpreter interns, and students who are majoring
in Deaf Education.
