Nazi Policies, the Holocaust, and People with Disabilities – DFW

You are invited to UT Arlington in honor of National Disability Awareness Month! On Wednesday, October 10th form 12 p.m. – 1 p.m. in 100 Nedderman Hall, UT Arlington will be hosting a talk by Dr. Brenda Jo Brueggeman called “Nazi Policies, the Holocaust, and People with Disabilities”. Please share the attached flyer with your colleagues, consumers or any one else that you think would be interested.

Dr. Brenda Jo Brueggeman is an Associate Professor of English at The Ohio State University as well as an Associate Faculty in Women’s Studies; Comparative Studies. In addition, Dr. Brueggeman is Ohio State’s Coordinator for their American Sign Language Program and Coordinator of their Interdisciplinary Disability Studies Program.

Dr. Brueggeman’s talk will include a PowerPoint slide show outlining the Nazi’s “T-4 Program” aimed at people with disabilities that directly preceded the Holocaust.

Parking Directions: FROM I-30

Exit at Cooper Street and proceed south.
Continue down Cooper Street and follow it through the University (you will pass under three pedestrian overpasses).
At Nedderman Drive turn right.
Regular Parking: Visitor parking is situated in a lot on the north side of Nedderman Drive (if you want you may check in with security at their booth) or on the south side of the street (metered parking). This is in front of a building called Davis Hall. You must cross over the middle pedestrian bridge in order to access Nedderman Hall which is on the east side of Cooper near the center bridge.
Garage Parking: If you would prefer to park in the parking garage turn left on Mitchell (one street past Nedderman). Proceed to S. West Street and turn left. Continue on S. West Street past Nedderman Dr. and W. 4th street and you will see the parking garage on your left.
Nedderman Hall is located at 416 Yates Street near UTA Blvd.
Parking Directions FROM I-20

Exit at Cooper Street and proceed north.
Follow Cooper Street north to the UTA campus and turn left on Nedderman Drive.
Regular Parking: Visitor parking is situated in a lot on the north side of Nedderman Drive (if you want you may check in with security at their booth) or on the south side of the street (metered parking). This is in front of a building called Davis Hall. You must cross over the center pedestrian bridge in order to access Nedderman which is on the east side of Cooper.
Garage Parking: If you would prefer to park in the parking garage turn right on Nedderman rather than left. Continue past Planetarium Place and turn left again on West Street. You will see the parking garage on your left.
Nedderman Hall is located at 416 Yates Street near UTA Blvd.
