Institute of Political Leadership and Access & Lori Bonheyo

The Institute of Political Leadership and Access (IPLA) is pleased to
announce that Ms. Lori Bonheyo will be joining onboard as the 2008
Chair of the IPLA Conference, which will be held during the
Presidential Election, September 10-13, 2008, at the Kellogg Center
at Gallaudet University in Washington, D.C. IPLA is a non-profit,
bipartisan institute that seeks to bring people who are deaf and
hard-of-hearing together with other people with disabilities in a
comprehensive political leadership training program, which include
annual seminars and the Presidential election conferences.

Lori is currently the Special Assistant to the Principal of the
Maryland School for the Deaf, and has considerable background
expertise in civic involvement through her work with MDAD, and the
National Association of the Deaf. She previously served for four
years on the Deaf Women United Conference in Elliot City, Maryland,
and also served as co-chair on several civic committees. Lori is a
1981 graduate of Gallaudet University with a Bachelor of Arts in
Social Work. She also holds a Masters degree in Education, which she
received from American University in 1984. IPLA believes that Ms.
Bonheyo will be an invaluable asset to the IPLA Conference as its
Chair given her background and broad expertise in outreach to the
deaf community, and is pleased to support her in her new role.

The Institute of Political Leadership and Access (IPLA) also would
like to thank Hawk Relay for their continued corporate sponsorship of
the IPLA mission. For more information on how to support the IPLA
Conference through corporate sponsorship, please contact Ms. Tammy
Sue Davis, the Senior Account Manager, at [email protected]
