2008 NAD Conference Proposed Motions

2008 NAD Conference Proposed Motions

President Bobbie Beth Scoggins presided over a general forum on
Tuesday, July 8th to consider motions from individual NAD members.
Most of these had been submitted prior to the conference. The room was
packed as proposals regarding many topics—including captioning, ASL,
outreach, and others—were weighed.

Members spoke out about the pros and cons of the various proposals.
They were instructed to vote for their top 30 priorities. The Council
of Representatives will ultimately vote on the final 20 proposal to
become priorities for 2008-2010.
