Ken Glickman to Perform DEAFology 101 Comedy Show in Galveston, Texas

Statewide Conference on Education of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing
(SWCED)

SILVER SPRING, MD – July 17, 2008 – Ken Glickman, a.k.a. “Prof.
Glick” will be performing his classic DEAFology 101 comedy show at
Statewide Conference on Education of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing’s
Breakfast Banquet on July 24, 2008, in Galvestion, TX. Glickman is a
widely recognized figure in the American Deaf community and known for
his humorous contributions to Deaf culture as an author, wordsmith and
performer. As “Prof. Glick” in his comical lab coat and beady black
reading glasses, Ken will present his classic, fast-paced comedy
routine – covering just about everything from Anthropology to Biology
to Physics.

As an “Equal-Opportunity” comedian, Ken pokes fun at both worlds –
that of the “Deafies” and of the “Hearies” – as he has done so around
the country for over nineteen years.

The show will be voiced for the benefit of the “Hearies.” As of
today, over 725 people have registered for the Conference. “We all are
excited to have Ken perform his comedy show as part of our
Conference,” said Dan Diffee, Committee Co-chair.

Ken will also be exhibiting at the Conference his Deaf Proverbs book
and his two new publications, Teacher’s Guide to Deaf Proverbs and
Deaf Proverbs Workbook.
