Religious Interpreters Workshop – San Antonio

Northern Hills United Methodist Church, SARID, TSID Religious Sig. are
proud to host:

ASL Bible Workshop with presenter Chad Entinger

Chad Entinger was born August 18, 1975, in Edina, Minnesota. Chad
became Deaf at the age of 16 months due to Spinal Meningitis. He was
raised by Christian parents, Dennis and LuAnn Entinger, in Howard
Lake, Minnesota. At the age of 8 years old, he accepted Jesus as his
Lord and Savior and was baptized by his father at the Howard Lake
Christian Church. Chad attended elementary, middle, and junior high
schools in the Howard Lake – Waverly Public School System. During
his high school years, Chad went to the Minnesota State Academy for
the Deaf (M.S.A.D.), graduating in 1993. He then enrolled at Gallaudet
University in Washington, D.C., and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts
degree in Elementary Education in 1997 and a Master of Arts degree in
Deaf Education in 1999.

Chad was ordained for Christian ministry work by the Howard Lake
Christian Church on April 23, 2006. Chad’s main goals in ministry
are similar to Deaf Missions: To share the good news of Jesus Christ
with Deaf people, primarily through preparing and distributing Bible
visuals for the Deaf; to train Christians to minister with the Deaf;
and to serve the Lord through personal work among Deaf people. Also,
Chad wrote personal narratives for Bob Ayres’ “Deaf Diaspora: The
Third Wave of Deaf Ministry” book, published 2004
