Advocacy Conference

Dear Advocates in Texas:

We are excited to announce a new statewide conference, designed just
for adults with disabilities and parents of children with
disabilities! This is the “Texas Advanced Leadership and Advocacy
Conference” (TALAC). Thanks to a grant from the Texas Council for
Developmental Disabilities, the Texas A&M University’s Center on
Disability and Development is going to conduct the TALAC conference on
an annual basis starting in 2009.

The attached flyer contains detailed information about the first
conference on March 23-24, 2009, in Austin. Attendance is limited. The
priority deadline to apply is Oct. 15, 2008, with the final deadline
on Dec. 1st. More details are online at http://talac.tamu.edu
. To contact project staff for specific information, please send an
email to [email protected]
or call us at (979) 845-1884.

Please assist us in getting the word out to all potential
participants. Your assistance in disseminating this information is
greatly appreciated!

Sincerely,

Dan Zhang, Ph.D.
