The Texas Book Festival offers Sign Language Interpretation
The Texas Book Festival, November 1 and 2, 2008 will be held on the
Capitol Grounds & adjoining areas. Attendance is free,
first-come-first-served for all events based on seating capacity.

Presentations.
The full schedule is posted about 3 weeks prior to the festival & is
subject to change as necessary. A program schedule will be in the
Austin Statesman the week prior to the Festival & free copies are
available at the Festival. Speaker events will be in the Capitol &
Annex; First United Methodist Church, 1200-1300 LaVaca; and Austin
Museum of Art, 823 Congress.
There will not be advance scheduling for selected Speaker
Presentations as in previous years. Sign Language Interpreters will be
scheduled at the Information Tent located at 12th Street & Colorado
Street. Look for international signing symbol banner.
It is advisable to come to the Information Tent at least 30 minutes
prior to the presentation you wish to attend. Scheduling will be on a
first-come basis. Depending on the availability of Interpreters & the
demand, it may be necessary to return to the Information Tent to
schedule for multiple Presentations.
Reserved Seats for deaf and hearing impaired will be available at all
speaking presentations. They will be help 10 minutes before the
speaker begins. After that they will be released for the general
public. It is advised to schedule at the Information Tent at least 30
minutes prior to the presentation.
