AT THE TEXAS SCHOOL FOR THE DEAF

Austin, Texas Kars & Kids – a fun, family festival and car show
benefiting the Texas School for the Deaf (TSD) – takes place November
1 from 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM at the school’s south Austin campus, at
1102 South Congress Avenue.
Don’t miss this second annual classic car, hot rod and custom car
show with a fun, family carnival. FREE ADMISSION for participants!
Cars can pre-register online at www.karsandkids.com. Proceeds will
assist TSD’s automotive instruction programs and provide needed
classroom tools.
Featuring over 100 classic cars and hot rods on display with lots of
fun activities and displays for all ages, including:
Challenges against (2007) World Ten-ball Billiard (Pool) Champion,
Shane Van Boening;
Austin Police Department’s Hummer and Motorcycle patrol;
Manor Police Department’s Squad car;
Sparky the Fire Dog and the Austin Fire Department’s Fire Safety
House;
Cody the Clean Air Bear and Austin Energy’s Clean Air Interactive
Car;
Kid’s rides, games and activities;
Local food and drinks from: Zen, Torchy’s Tacos, Fuddruckers, The
Big Drip Ice Cream Parlor (in Dripping Springs), Crepe Crazy and Latte
Dolls;
Chances to win great prizes in a Raffle and Silent Auction;
