I am sure many of you already have seen advertisements everywhere
about the Kars & Kids Show, this event is a fun family festival and
car show benefiting the Texas School for the Deaf (TSD). It will take
place on November 1 from 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM at TSD, at 1102 South
Congress Avenue. This is the 4th annual Kars & Kids car show at TSD
campus. There will be various fun-filled activities for children and
families. Classic car collections will be on display at the TSD
football field.
Our business, Crepe Crazy will have a booth at the Kars & Kids
event. Our booth will offer both sweet crepes filled with an
assortment of fresh fruits and sweet sauces, and savory crepes filled
with a variety of ingredients, such as chicken, ham, bacon, sausages.
Our time-honored crepe recipes have been passed down for generations
in our family. Beverages, such as fruit smoothies, bottles of water,
and iced tea will be sold as well. Some of you may not be familiar
with crepes. There are very few creperies in the Austin area. The
word, Crepe is the French word for thin pancakes. They are endlessly
versatile and can be eaten at any time of the day, from early
breakfast through to a late night snack. Our hearty crepes are made
from scratch. Both savory and sweet fillings are available and each
crepe is hand-made in front of the customer on unique iron crepe
griddles. Crepes are served HOT and FRESH. You must try one!!
This event will feature over 100 classic cars and hot rods on display
with lots of fun activities and displays for all ages, including:
1.Challenges against (2007) World Ten-ball Billiard (Pool) Champion,
Shane Van Boening;
2.Austin Police Department’s Hummer and Motorcycle patrol;
3.Manor Police Department’s Squad car;
4.Sparky the Fire Dog and the Austin Fire Department’s Fire Safety
House;
5.Cody the Clean Air Bear and Austin Energy’s Clean Air Interactive
Car;
6.Kid’s rides, games and activities;
7.Local food and drinks from: Zen, Torchy’s Tacos, Fuddruckers, The
Big Drip Ice Cream Parlor (in Dripping Springs), Crepe Crazy and Latte
Dolls;
8.Chances to win great prizes in a Raffle and Silent Auction; and
lots more!
