“What you see is what you get!” Sight Translation

Sight Translation has never been sweeter, as GTID, the Golden
Triangle
Interpreters for the Deaf, hosts its first “Cookie Exchange”
workshop.
Participants will work on skills relating to Sight Translation, ASL
Classifiers and Numbers in a safe and aromatic environment!
Recipe for Success: Participants are to bring two (2) batches (one
for testing and one for sharing) of their favorite “homemade” cookies
and enough copies of the recipe, to share. Participants will then
have the opportunity to “describe” their cookie, using ASL
classifiers, “interpret” the recipe, using sight translation
strategies, making sure to include all the numbered “measurements”
needed, for another baker, to duplicate the recipe.
