I would like to extend a personal invitation to all of the D/HOH
community in D/FW to attend one of our two candle light services on
Christmas Eve at First Baptist Church in Grapevine at 5:00 p.m. -or-
7:00 p.m. Now here is the exciting part: our church is providing CART
(live captioning for the D/HOH) for the first time ever!!
Please, if you are deaf or hard of hearing and are considering
attending a service on Christmas Eve, please support this effort! We
believe that CART is a much needed service for those with hearing
loss who do not use ASL and wish to attend church in our community
and the only way we will be able to convince our staff that it is
needed on a regular basis is if people come when we offer it for our
‘special
services’. Besides, our Christams Eve serivces are always a beautiful
time and I am sure you will be very blessed! ASL interpretation is
provided regularly at all Sunday services as well and Assited
Listening Devices with neckoops are also available. If you do come, we
have a section at the front right of the auditorium reserved for
people using the sign interpreters and/or CART. I hope to see you!
